The Recording Academy meet with lawmakers on GRAMMY Advocacy day (Oct 3, 2019, 8:54 PM). Our group had the honor to have Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick from Pennsylvania meet with us. We had a great meeting. The Discussion address the NAB consent to broadcast as it applies to music as it supports the rights of performers and music creators etc.

Dr. Alexander Nicolas who is known as "Dr. Suave," has been a member of the Recording Academy for 20 years. As a professional musician, composer, producer, minister, arranger, educator, and instrumental artist has been a advocate for music. He is a active voting member of the Recording Academy and he is part of the GRAMMY' S on the Hill Initiatives. As a Academy member, he has join Academy members from across the country to partner with the Advocacy team to present a compelling musical case regarding all musical industry issues to the senate in Washington, to fight for music creators' rights.
